New and privately owned rental villa, set among the olive grove on the hills that slope down from Bellapais Abbey. This three bedroomed holiday house for rent sleeps 6 and has a swimming pool.

THE VILLA

The villa is about a fifteen minute drive away from Kyrenia, a tiny horseshoe shaped harbour with a backdrop of the Besparmek Mountains. All around the harbour are  carob warehouses now converted to restaurants, cafes and bars stretching out onto jetties over the water. The harbour is full of fishing boats, yachts and excursion boats. This is a delightful spot to while away a few relaxed hours.

The capital Nicosia is less than 40 minutes.away with shops and markets and lots of places to eat all quite unsophisticated. Areas of this city unspoilt and undeveloped are being tastefully restored with international funding. Further away to the East of Famagusta is the Karpas
Peninsula known as the panhandle, look at the map! miles and miles of deserted white sand truly unspoilt. Famagusta is just an hour away  The most delightful thing about Northern Cyprus is its people who are kind and friendly

THE ACCOMMODATION

Our villa sleeps six ,one king size bed and four singles in the other two bedrooms. Luxurious soft cotton bedlinen and towels are provided. The kitchen is generous and fully equipped, dual fuel cooker, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine cool/hot water dispenser.


Beautifully furnished throughout, fully air-conditioned, open plan dining room and sitting room with an open fire opening onto two ground level balconies overlooking the 9 metre private pool, large paved areas, landscaped garden, generous parking for cars. delightful setting with views. the two larger bedrooms open onto balconies with views all round of the mountains to the South and the Mediterranean sea to the North.

THE BELLAPAIS AREA

The supermarket is 10 minutes away, local shops and Bellapais Abbey with its superb restaurants and music festivals are just within walking distance as are the mountains. Four wheel drive is recommended for this area until the roads are made up! Hire car, airport transfers and holiday support services can be arranged with our friendly agent in Bellapais. The Villa will be cleaned before your arrival.



Children are welcome though parents must be aware of the dangers of a deep swimming pool. Since this is a private villa in a small neighbourhood it is suitable for those who will be considerate towards the neighbours. Since the house next door is lettable it may be possible by arrangement with the owner for larger groups to occupy the two villas.

LOCATION

The Lusignian Order  built the 'Abbey of beautiful peace' the  spectacular Bellapais Abbey around which has sprung up a delightful village -immortalised by Laurence Durrell in his book Bitter Lemons.


Wining and dining here is a must do! Music festivals and concerts of all kinds are held here from time to time .Bellapais was featured on TV by Judith Chalmers.. Beaches and Coves are strung out all along the coast - have fun exploring and take your pick.

The price range is from £550 to £750 per week for up to 6 people.

Reductions may be available for second and third weeks outside school holidays.
