Everyone knows that children are at their happiest on holiday when they have space to play without constantly tripping over the adults and being chastised for interrupting their 'boring' conversation! Villa Evia is therefore the ideal place for large family holidays, because it has enough grass for games, places to explore and a beautiful safe beach that will keep even the most energetic children occupied and content all day.




EVIA ACCOMMODATION

Flexibility is the key word here. Villa Evia consists of varied accommodation that can be rented in any combination from the list below. For example, the villa can easily accommodate 3 families.

There is plenty of space on the balcony, terrace, lawn and eating areas to enjoy being together.



Inside, there are attractive cool-white family areas in the house and studio apartment.


Main House - 2 big bedrooms

The main living room has a very spacious veranda that faces the sea, and a smaller sitting room on the first floor has a balcony. There is also a dining room, kitchen and a guests bathroom that has a shower.




The main house has two big bedrooms. One bedroom has its own balcony and they both have their own bathrooms.


Studio Apartment - double bed

The studio apartment (50 sq.meters) has a kitchenette, shower room and a peaceful backyard that is an orchard of vine trees.

Guest rooms - 2 single beds in each (sleep 4)

The guest rooms are two small bedrooms, each with two single beds, that share a bathroom with shower. There is some outside space but no cooking facilities.


The Area

The beach in front of the house is very accessible and shelves gently into the sea, making it suitable for small children. The bay is popular with families and is very well suited for windsurfing and water skiing. The clear blue sea makes fishing and diving a real pleasure, and those who choose to venture out into the bay in a boat or dingy can make use of the small pier.

This way to the beach...

Some taverns and a supermarket are within walking distance. 6km to the North-East is the small town of Pyrgos and a little further, the beautiful port of Oreoi. Go there to experience its breathtaking sunset and its nice cafes.

The little port of Pefki is 20km away, beyond the town of Istiaia. This is the place to join the ferries and boats that sail to the Sporades islands.

Head in a different direction and beyond Edipsos are the towns of Ilia, Rovies and Limni. A tour that is highly recommended takes you from Edipsos to Gregolimano and Lihada, from where you can drive or walk - you're on holiday, so you should really walk! - into an impressive pine-forest.

If you want to sample the mainland, take a ferry to Glyfa, near Volos, and visit the famous region of Pilion. Alternatively, get there by hiring a boat from Oreoi or even a fisherman's boat from Aghiokampos itself.

If anyone should have any energy left for some nightlife after doing all of the above... then head for Edipsos.

The airport and getting there

Most people choose to fly into Athens and drive to the town of Edipsos. There are two routes, either by way of Arkitsa and ferry, or by way of Halkis and Limni. The drive takes around 3 to 3.5 hours. The villa is a few kilometers beyond Edipsos at Aghiokampos.

An alternative is a bus from Athens to the bay of Aghiokampos, with a journey time of around 3.5 hours.

If you should want to make the most of your arrival in Greece, then the third alternative is to take a ferry from Glyfa... or even a private boat.

Price

Villa Evia offers very flexible accommodation, with the House, Studio and Guest Rooms all being available for rent separately or together in any combination. The owner is equally flexible and reasonable on pricing, and will take into consideration longer rental periods especially during the quieter months.

The price ranges from 500 - 1500 euros per week, depending on which part of the house is rented.
