THE RENTAL VILLA

The villa is located 500 meters from the centre of the village, alone in a beautiful bay.



The sea is ideal for swimming, sea sports, fishing, scuba diving and snorkeling. The sea bottom is of exceptional interest due to the existence of ancient ruins and artefacts.



The surrounding hills are ideal for hunting during the autumn and winter period. The land comprises 120 olive trees, which produce a significant amount of different varieties of olives and/or olive oil.
The distance of the main buildings from the sea is no more than a 30-meter walk across beautiful gardens with palm trees, olive trees and fruit trees as well as flowers.

THE ACCOMMODATION

The villa was built in 2003 and consists of two main buildings:

Building 1 includes:

A 120sqm flat with a master bedroom (with en-suite bathroom), large living room with fireplace, dining room, open plan kitchen, cellar and guest WC.





A lower level includes a 40sqm apartment with a double bedroom, living room and a bathroom, as well as a 70sqm storage room and a garage fitting 3 cars.

Building 2 includes:

A first floor 70sqm apartment with 2 double bedrooms, bathroom, living room and kitchenette. A ground floor 90sqm apartment with 2 double bedrooms, bathroom, living room with fireplace and a large open-plan kitchen with dining area.

The Pool

Both buildings overlook a 5m x 10m swimming pool and have magnificent breathtaking views over the sea.

The Patio

Between the two buildings, there is a patio with an independent kitchen that can serve the needs of all yards, terraces, verandas and the swimming pool area. All these external parts of the house cover an area of more than 1,200 stone-paved square meters.

Apart from the internal garage, the property can accommodate the parking of more than 15 cars. The kitchens are fully equipped and the houses are magnificently furnished with Greek, English and French antique provincial furniture, all collected by the owner, a well-known Greek interior designer.
Other amenities of the property include central heating (independent for each apartment), boiler for hot water, drinking water, large redbrick built barbecue, central TV aerial with one TV in each apartment, telephone, fax, remotely operated automatic entrance gate, entry phone and full landscape lighting. The land is surrounded by a high security fence.

LOCATION

Mitzela Village is located in the beautiful Pagasitikos Gulf in eastern central continental Greece and is served by Anhialos airport, which is located 20 minutes drive from the village. The International airports of Athens is about 2.5 hrs drive and Thessaloniki airport is about 2 hrs away.

THE VILLAGE

Mitzela, renamed to "Amaliapolis" after the visit of Queen Amalia in the mid 19th Century is a seaside village whose main source of income is fishing and olive oil production.

Strolling in the main seaside promenade, the visitor can enjoy the traditional architecture of the place along with a number of "tavernas" serving delicious Greek food and fresh fish, bars open till early morning hours and cafeterias. Local amenities include 2 supermarkets, 2 bakeries, greengrocer, gift-shop, basketball, beach-volley and 5-aside football courts. Car and boat rentals can be arranged in the near-by city, Volos, which is 30 minutes drive from Mitzela.

AREA

Being in the very centre of Greece, the village has very easy access to a number of places of interest. Some of them are: Mount Pelion, with its picturesque villages and famous ski resorts is only 45 minutes drive from Mitzela.


Meteora, the high rocks with their Byzantie monasteries on the top are only 1.5 hrs drive from the village.

Skiathos Island, combining some of the most famous beaches in the world, with very cosmopolitan night life, can be accessed directly from the village by a 2 hr boat ride.
