Newly renovated neoclassical villa to rent on Spetses, 10 minutes from Dapia town centre and 20 meters from the sea. Located at the end of a small road and surrounded by traditional high walls, for peace and privacy. The Old Harbor Mansion has a long history dating back to the 1830's.

THE VILLA

Situated at one of the highest points of the old harbour of Spetses, the Mansion offers its visitors total relaxation in a traditionally restored setting, with a magnificent view of the old harbour, the Peloponnesian mountains, the Saronic Gulf and the nearby islands.

The two level Mansion is decorated in exquisite style and character, combining local Greek architecture & modern comfort features. All the rooms have been designed to allow natural light to filter through, and are tastefully decorated and furnished with antiques and traditional artwork. The each level can be rented independently.

THE ACCOMMODATION


The Upper level consists of:


Three bedrooms. A master bedroom with a king-size bed and an en-suite shower bath, a single bedroom with a large fireplace and a sleeper-couch for that extra person, as well as a twin bedroom with a magnificent view over the sea, sharing a separate bathroom/wc. A large newly refitted kitchen fully equipped (dish washing machine, electrical cooker & oven, microwave, fridge etc.) with a fireplace and a kitchen table (4-6 people) for breakfast or a light meal.

A spacious sun filled living room with a breathtaking sea view, including a dinning table for six, a sitting room, a piano, TV and a tuner/CD player.

A beautiful balcony with a panoramic view over the old Harbor and the Saronic Gulf. The balcony has a dining table for six and a bamboo-sitting salon.


Through the main upper entrance of the mansion, one walks through a traditional open air corridor covered with pergola, jasmine and bougainvillea, an orchard of lemons and fruits, and a terrace - an ideal place for children to play.

Peaceful and serene, this elegant setting with pergolas and lavish flowers make it ideal for a relaxing breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The lower level of the Mansion, consists of:

A very large pristine terrace, which includes a sitting area with a large couch and chairs, and a table for six.

A courtyard beautifully decorated with indigenous flowers and trees. The lower level has a main outside entrance directly to the terrace and a second through the courtyard.

The two separate and independent mansion levels communicate via a beautiful pebble-courtyard (a 200 year old mosaic), and a stair corridor adjoining the side of the house.

Ideal for families travelling with babies

The villa is fully equipped with everything necessary to care for a baby, and toys to keep young children entertained.

This means that you can travel light (no need to suffer the inconvenience of lugging bulky items like a travel cot with you), and you when you arrive, you know you are in a baby friendly environment - something every parent looking for a holiday with a baby dreams of!

When you enquire, please check what equipment is available, just to be on the safe-side if you depend on anything special.

You can also opt for a transfer to Spetses by helicopter if you want to be whisked from the airport to this island villa with minimum delay.

SPETSES THE ISLAND

It is one of the most idyllic Greek Islands famous for its picturesque landscape, beautiful mansions and villas, exquisite gardens, the white pebble mosaic streets, courtyards, as well as its cosmopolitan life.

Daily excursions can be arranged from Spetses to nearby islands, the Peloponese mainland and to various archaeological and historical sites.
Spetses has become one of the favourite islands of both Greek and foreign tourists maintaining its cosmopolitan style with distinguished visitors form all parts of the world.

It is situated at a 2 hour high speed boat ride from Athens, away from the hustle of big city life, but ideal for those who wish to enjoy the splendour of this capital city and a visit to the Acropolis to see the Parthenon.

Helicopter transfer to the airport and other islands is highly recommended for the shear pleasure of seeing Greece from the air, as is a yacht booking for island hopping, exploring and enjoying the Mediterranean at a sea-level and a slower pace.
